Entries for this year’s Ellesmere Show number 3597 compared with 3460 last year. This figure does not include a kennel club section with 966 entries or those for the wood chopping and highland dancing sections.
However, the secretary (Mrs A. S. Simmonds) has been advised that 26 individual competitors will take part in the woodchop events and 42 individuals in the national dancing. The entries compared with last year, are:
