Down, but defeat skirted
NZPA London The British tennis junior, Anthea Cooper, aged 17, lost her skirt during a decisive rally in the Pernod Trophy tournament at Aberavon yesterday. She said she stretbhed for a return, a button popped off, and the skirt fell around her ankles.
But she played on in her knickers during the long rally, won the point and the match,6-3, 3-6, 6-3.
“I have never been so embarrassed,” she said.
