Utd Building half year
The unaudited profit of United Building Society of Christchurch (Permanent) for the six months to September 30 was $16,034, the directors announce.
This figure is only fractionally less than that for the comparable period in the previous year, and the expected results for the full year should be very close to those of the previous year, they say.
Deposits with the society have been maintained at a high level, and demand for mortgage moneys greatly exceeds the supply available.
