J. E. Watson recovers
I A group net profit of '5304,334 for the year to June 30 has been reported by the directors of J. E. Watson and Company, Ltd. The profit increased $112,523, or 58.6 per cent, compared with the previous year, and it was after providing $73,647 more at $214,192 for tax. Turnover for the year was SIIM higher at S3IM compared with the previous year. The directors propose payment of a steady dividend of 12j per cent to ordinary shareholders and 10 per cent to preference shareholders. The annual meeting will be held on October 13, shares will be ex-dividend on September 23.
