Wool up at Auckland

PA Auckland, Prices were up on Dunedin and Wanganui at the first Auckland wool sale of the season yesterday, and well up on the Auckland 1 sale in June. The market, in comparison with the recent Dunedin sale, was fully 21 per cent dearer for fleece and second; shear, and 5 per cent dearer for crutchings. Compared with the Wanganui sale it x was 5 per cent dearer for second shear and crutchings, and with the last Auckland sale, in June, it was 6 jrer cent dearer for] fleece, 14 per cent dearer for; second-shear, and 16 peri cent for oddments and 19 per cent for crutchings, Bidding was keen through-

-out the day from most sections of the trade, although the Continent and Eastern i Europe were the principal ! buyers. I The prompt date is Octohber 5. The official report says that the offering of 9768 bales consisted of approximately 30 per cent hogget [ wool, 35 per cent second shear, with crutchings and other oddments making up the balance.
