Could be hard to beat. M. Barry ? 0194 MAMMA CASS (3) It. Won well at Auckland at first start for season and . close fourth there on September 3. Must be respected. E. Harding 4 7421 PLEASANT COMMAND (4) lr. Capped some good efforts with a fine win at Cambridge on August 31. Looks one of the top chances. M. McKendry 5 3321 JOE CHARLES (5) It. Outclassed a weak field at Alexandra Park on September 3. Looks to be back to his best form and should be hard to beat. P. Wolfenden 6 0507 MATAI MIST (6) It. Moderate showings at Hutt Park. Hard to recommend. A. Holmes 7 0009 SUNSHINE SAL (7) It. Well back in two starts this season. Has plenty of speed and could surprise. 8 0300 COL IM (8) It. Weak showings in two starts this season. No appeal. 11 0400 JACK'S DREAM (11) It. Has broken badly in her latest racing. Should she pace smoothly, could figure in the finish. J. Langdon 12 8174 PUISSANT (12) It. Has not raced since May. Second to Easton Light in free-for-all at Hutt Park in June at latest start. Went well at matinee at Cambridge "recently and could be a danger. 3 5206 FRAMALDA (3) It. Has not raced since June, but went well enough at trials recently to suggest she has sound prospects. < B - Purdon 4 1030 DIOGENES (4) It. Top trotter making a fresh start. Showed plenty of dash at Pukekoe matinee on Wednesday.

Pruden 5 7017 NOBLE DAY (5) It. Surprised on the first night of the recent Hutt Park meeting. but failed last Saturday. Hard to fancy.
