I.C.I. pay-outs
Imperial Chemical Industries, Britain’s biggest industrial company, has admitted making questionable foreign payments totalling $2.2M since 1972, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission has s*ud. The company’s report to the S.E.C. did not disclose where the money was paid. But it said no payments were made in North America, Britain, Australasia or Japan. In Europe, only small sums were handed over in one southern European country. — New York.
