Molester still at large
The Christchurch police are still looking for the man who assaulted a nurse in the city on Tuesday night. The 17-year-old nurse was returning to the nurses’ home at Christchurch Hospital about 8.35 p.m. when she was approached by a Polynesian man. He asked her to accompany him to a hotel and after she refused he dragged her to the riverbank opposite the Grenadier Tavern and assaulted her. The man made off when a passer-by approached, and has not been seen since.
The police are looking for a Polynesian male, aged about 25, of slim build and medium height and with black fuzzy hair.
