Seven-a-side league
Canterbury will send a team to the first New Zealand inter-provincial seven-a-side rugby league tournament, to be held at Wellington on October 9.
The Wellington Rugby League has advised that entries are expected from 10 leagues, most of them from the northern and central regions.
Teams will consist of nine players. A sponsoring firm has provided prize money.
