Daily volume A total of 243.000 industrial shares was traded on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday. On Tuesday industrial shares totalled 266,400, and 4300 mining shares were traded. A total of 98 New Zealand issues was traded yesterday. The five most active New Zealand issues were:—, Winstone .. 14,700 U.E.B. .. 10,600 N.Z. Brew. .. 9800 N.Z. Forest .. 6800 Motor Specs .. 6500 Australian contract Simon-Carves, Australia, a division of Simon Engineering (Australia) Pty, Ltd, will renovate and modernise the phenoxy herbicides plant of Ivon Watkins Dow, Ltd, at • New Plymouth. The project ' will cost about sAust4M, and is scheduled for com- ■ pletion in July, 1977.
