Malleys profit doubled
INZPA Sydney ! Malleys, Ltd, domestic appliance manufacturer more | than doubled group net tr/.d- -! ing profit to $Au5t4,623,000 in the year to June 30, and [is raising the final "dividend! rate to 4c a share from 3.5 c ( a share. The final dividend raises the annual rate from 6c to 7.5 c a share, which is easily covered by the latest earnings a share, which rose from 18.8 c to 36.5 c.
! A one-for-five script issue !is planned, the new shares being eligible for the final dividend. ! The latest result reflects i the continuing benefits of ! the cost-cutting programme, referred to by the directors lin the half-yearly report ■being made on a sales increase of just 19.6 per cent to S9IM. An extraordinary loss of $28,000 was realised, compared with $lOB,OOO previously.
