PA Wellington The Prime Minister (Mr ■Muldoon) has declined to icomment on a decision by ithe Chief Justice (Sir •Richard Wild) in the Supreme Court on Monday to 'award $2500 costs io an i Education Department cierk jagainst the Prime Minister ■for the statement he made .earlier this year termmating 'the Labour Governments scheme. : Mr Muldoon said that he 'had not studied Sir Richlard’s decision and therefore 'could not comment. i But if costs had to be paid 'they would be paid by the (Government, and not by him ■personally, as it was an action by the Government ’which was being disputed. ; The case would be argued | about by constitutional lawyers for many years to 'come, he said, adding that he would not lodge an ap- . peal. The Prime Minister, commenting on his original statement, said the working man would have been very angry if the Government had taken money from him, had held it for some months and ■ had then paid it back with 'no interest.
