Depositions on murder charge
The 18-y ear-old youth charged with murdering Peter Robin Antonovich was remanded in custody for the taking of depositions to October 14 when he made a brief appearance before Mr B. A. Palmer, S.M., yesterday morning. Gary James Redrup, an unemployed labourer was arrested early this month after an incident in which Mr Antonovich was believed to have received stab wounds. He later died in hospital.
Ski-ing.—Jochen Danneberg, of East Germany, set a world record for a ski jump on artificial snow by clearing 91m in Frenstat, Moravia, near Prague.
