Broadcasting bill soon
PA Wellington The Government’s proposed legislation on broadcasting would probably be introduced in Parliament at the end of this month or early jn October, the Prime Minister (Mr Muldoon) has said.
He told a press conference that the contents of the bill were now "tidy” and that the legislation was the present being drafted. Asked if the annual reports of the three broadcasting corporations would be tabled in Parliament before the introduction of the legislation, Mr Muldoon said the reports "must be due to be tabled’’ but he did not know when.
However, they would be made public before the passing of the bill, he said.
