Lauda to race this week?
NZPA Vienna The Austrian world champion racing driver, Niki Lauda, seriously injured on August 1 in a crash on West Germany’s Nuerburgring race course, hopes to start at this week’s grand prix at Monza Italy, the Austrian newspaper “Kurier” has said. “Kurier” said Lauda was prompted in this decision by the latest win by Britain’s James Hunt last week which brought Hunt to within two points of Lauda in world championship standings. Lauda leads the standings on 58 points.
