Smoke was no joke
PA Auckland A practical joke at the Trident Tavern, Onehunga, backfired, and put three men in the Green Lane Hospital. The prankster manufactured a smoke bomb from toilet rolls and crystals, and set it alight in the men’s lavatory of the hotel about 9.30 p.m. Three men were overcome by the smoke and fumes given off by the burning crystals, and required hospital treatment.
