Smash A retains men’s volleyball

The defendins champions, retained their Canterbury volleyball titles when the competitions finished at Cowles Stadium on Sunday evening. Smash A won the men’s title for the tliird successive year from University, and the latter club’s A team won the women's title from Smash A. The closest competition was the men’s B grade, shared by Superset A and Cashmere High School, while United romped away with the mixed grade without losing a game Smash B won the women's B grade title from Y.M.C.A. During the next two weeks, before the South Island championships, a handicap knock-out competition will be held for all grades for the Key Cup.
