Bridge pairs to Wignall

PA Auckland The leading Christchurch contract bridge players, J. R. Wignail and R. P. Kerr, won the New Zealand pairs championship in Auckland at the week-end. This was their second win in partnership, but the success represents an outstanding effort by Wignall, who has now won the title seven times. Wignall is a sharebroker whose partner on five occasions was F. P. S. Lu, now a professor at Canterbury University. Kerr is also a professor at the same university.
