:PA Auckland John Frederick Gillies, aged 43, who was released! on parole last February after' serving 12 years in prison! for his part in the Bassett; Road murders, has been sentenced to a further seven' years. Gillies, with Kerry Bruce Randall, aged 22, had been found guilty last month of aggravated robbery after an armed raid on a Mount Albert house. ‘ Both appeared before Mr Justice Perry yesterday for sentence. Gillies was also sentenced to 12 months imprisonment • on a charge of car con-' version. 18 months for the theft of two silver ingots.! and two years for unlawful! possession of a pistol.
