The Distribution Engineer (Construction) manages the Construction section which carries out area construction work at llkV-240V. The Distribution Engineer (Planning) manages the Area Planning section which formulates plans for reticulation at llkV-240V It is preferable that the appointee holds an approved University degree in Electrical Engineering or be a Corporate Member of the Institution of Electrical Engineers. Consideration will be given to applicants holding qualifications such as N.Z.C.E. or equivalent who have sufficient experience and proven ability to discharge the responsibilities fully. The technical work requires experience in power distribution involving high voltage feeders, distribution and consumer substation, low voltage networks, street lighting and general distribution work. The administrative work requires experience in a position involving direction and control of staff, an interest and ability to use modern management techniques, including work planning. budgetary cost control, training, etc. Salary on appointment is in the range $11,296-512,762 p.a. plus $365 p.a.
