Man missing at Bluff
PA Invercargill Fears are held for the safety of a 62-year-old West Coast man who failed to return from a walk along the track from Stirling Point, near Bluff, yesterday morning. The missing man is James Mclntyre Steel, of Waimangaroa, near Westport. He is on holiday in Bluff.
Two police searchers were unable to find Mr Steel, but his cardigan, watch and money were found about a mile along the track, at the top of a bank. A wider search will be made this morning on land, and possibly sea.
