Schaapveld first home
Frank Schaapveld again showed his superior sprinting ability to beat a bunch of nine riders home in the Hornby Cash Cycling Club’s 80km race on Saturday. A feature of the race was the aggressive riding of Kevin Radbumd. whose frequent bursts reduced the field from 40 to 10 within 20km. In the final sprint, Radbumd was half a wheel behind Schaapveld, with the consistent Tom Hartill third. Results were: F. Schaapveld, Ihr 51min 43sec. 1; K. Radbumd, 1:51.43.1, 2; T. Hartill, 1:51.43.3, 3; C. Yaxley, 1:51.43.4, 4 Sealed handicap: B, Blackbunk 1, F. Hooper 2, Radbumd 3.
