Prudential confident
The net profit and undistributed surplus of the Prudential Building and Investment Society of Canterbury for the first six months of the current half-yeai are almost identical with those for the preceding half-year, the directors say in the halfyearly report. In present financial conditions this is a good achievement, they say, and the directors have been able with confidence to declare an interim dividend of 5 per cent, the same as in 1975.
Prospects are good for the second half-year, the directors say.
