Z7\ Ministry of Works and Development ASSISTANT CLOTHING INSPECTOR HEAD OFFICE A VACANCY EXISTS for a suitably qualified Clothing Inspector for Employment with the Ministry of Works and Development, Wellington. The applicants should have a sound background and experience in uniform or garment manufacturing. Duties will be to assist with the preparation of specifications for service and civilian clothing used by Government departments. Examine and approve prototype for bulk production. There will be close contact both with the Government departments and the garment trade, and it is desirable that applicants be conversant with textile manufacturing and have the ability to produce written reports. Up to 25 per cent of working time will be spent in visits to factories and establishments throughout New Zealand, checking on the standards of manufacture and other matters relating to Government clothing contracts.
