Crackdown on fraud
NZPA Sydney Some of Sydney’s top businessmen, including what the New South Wales Attor-ney-General (Mr Frank Walker) has described as “really big fish”, will face criminal charges in a corporate crime crackdown announced in Sydney. Mr Walker has revealed that he has authorised criminal charges to be filed against 35 businessmen, and warned that there were more prosecutions to come.
Announcing the crackdown, Mr Walker said lie had authorised the charges after discovering on taking office in May a “monstrous cover-up of corporation fraud” by the previous Lib-eral-Country Party administration.
