Major duties to be undertaken will be preparing technical reports on contentious water right applications and in providing technical assistance and direction to the water resources inj. spectors also engaged in processing water right applications. Other duties will include assisting in 10 water resources investigations and catchment authority work. Salary up to $11,580 p.a. (plus r C.O.L. allowances). Conditions of appointment ■1 available. This programme is initially concentrated in the Franklin County, Omaha/Leigh, Parakai and Waiwera areas 18 with subsequent investigations to be in the Kaipara and northern areas and will involve setting up hydrological observation programmes and doing all investigations necessary to produce water management/allocation plans for the catchments. Applicants to have a degree in science or engineering or natural resources and preferably some experience in hydrology and water resources work. Salary up to $8177 p.a. (plus C.O.L. allowance).
