Beaches threatened
A two-ton oil spill from a vessel employed to clean up spills from other ships has posed a threat to the resort beaches of La Spezia, Italy. Some of the oil reached the port of Muggiano, near La Spezia, before solvents and other control measures stopped its advance. However, a shift in the wind direction could still foul the beaches.Lt Spezia.
