Man dies
A man died after he fell off a farm truck and was run over by a grain auger at Bayfields, in the Rakaia Gorge, on Saturday. He was Ronald Hayston, aged about 45, single, a farm worker, of Bayfields. The accident occurred about 11 a.m. on the main Lake Coleridge Road. Mr Hayston nail been riding on the deck of a truck driven by his employer, Mr F. D. Bell, of Bayfields Farm. He fell from the truck, and was run over by the auger being towed behind.
