Wilson at full-back
Richard Wilson, who played a prominent part in Christchurch’s senior rugby championship win yesterday, will be the Canterbury fullback in the provincial competition match against Bav of Plenty in Tauranga next week.
The team’s regular fullback, Doug Heffernan, will return home after the second tour game, against North Auckland, in Whangarei, to sit University examinations. Wilson, who is the present Canterbury B and New Zealand Juniors’ full-back, has made two previous appearances for the provincial A team — against MidCanterbury in 1973 and against Marlborough last sea. son.
Cycling.—Clyde Sefton, of Victoria, Australia, won the S3-mll» Red Zinger bicycle road race in Colorado, followed by an American, Ark Pringle and Britain’s Dudley Hayton.
