Initial familiarisation with the Company will be for one year at a main installation where exposure to all facets of product distribution must be expected. Physical fitness therefore is important plus the ability to fit eafily into any team of workers. Points to be assessed during training will be organising strength and supervising potential; also assessment of the ability to absorb Company procedures and product knowledge accompanied by a responsible and reliable attitude when dealing with both men and materials. Whilst qualifications are not sought, the possession of NZCE or other engineering qualifications or experience including a marine engineering background could be helpful. Biotechnology or Civil Engineering (with a biplcma of Public Health Engineering), with experience tn water quality and/or waste water management, who are interested tn taking charge of water quality monitoring and in advising the Board on general and special conditions relating to the granting of rights to discharge waste water and other polluted discharges.
