LECTURESHIP LN ANATOMY • MEDICAL OR NONMEDICAL): Candidates should have had post-graduate experience in the fields of either Developmental Biology (particularly tissue differentiation or organogenesis) or Reproductive Biology (of the male or female mammal). Applicants need not necessarily be med: cally qualified The success ful applicant will be required to take part in the undergraduate and pcst-graduatc teaching in the Department of .Anatomy with particular interest in the teaching of Embryology and Human Reproduction and Development, and actively to pursue research projects relevant to his interests. Research in the Department currently lies in the fields of neuroanatomy, the locomotor system, cell division, and fetal-maternal relationships Additional projects can be readily accommodated. Facilities for electron microscopy, tissue culture, and spectro-photometry are available within the Department, and access to granting Bodies for medical research is available. It is hoped the successful candidate will be able to take up duties early in 1977. LECTURESHIP IN HAEMATOLOGY —Department of Pathology. A suitably qualified applicant may be considered for appointment as a Senior Lecturer. Candidates should hold a medical qualification registrable in New Zealand, together with a recognised post-graduate qualification in either Pathology or Medicine 'for example F.R.C.P.A., M.R.C. Pa‘h.. M R A.C.P.. M.R.C.P.i. It is envisaged that the successful applicant will have or will develop a special interest in a particular field of Haematology. It is hoped the successful candidates will be able take up duties early in 1977 ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR SHIP IN PLASTIC AND RECONSTRUCTIVE SUR GERY — Department oi Surgery. The establishment of the Associate-Professorship has been made possible by a generous endowment from Sit William Stevenson, of Auck land, for the development of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgerv within the School of Medicine. This is the first academic position in the field of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the School of Medicine in Auckland. Candidates should hold a medical qualification regis trable in New Zealand, together with a recognised Postgraduate qualification he person appointed will be expected to organise the teaching of Plastic and Re constructive Surgery to both under-graduate and postgraduate students; to encourage, supervise and activelj pursue research in the De partmental Laboratories; and to assist with the general administration of the Department. The successful applicant will have clinical re sponsibilities at Middlemore Hospital and/or at such other hospitals of the Auckland Hospital Board as may be deemed desirable.
