Missing boat found
PA Auckland An R.N.Z.A.F, Orion late last night found the Auckland fishing boat Celtic 120 miles east of Great Barrier Island.
Ee.rly today Search and Rescue Headquarters at Auckland was still considering the best method of recovering the boat which has three men on board and was reported overdue on Saturday.
The Orion made a positive identification of the boat by making low sweeps overhead and using a powerful searchlight. Two of the three men were on deck waving vigorously.
The fisheries protection vessel, H.M.N.Z.S. Rotoiti has been searching the area and last night was anchored off Great Barrier.
