$l00 sport photo prize
The best sport photograph taken at a match sponsored by New Zealand Breweries, Ltd, could win a prize of $lOO, and the award of “Lion Sport’s Photograph of the Year,” The brewery was to run a contest for photographs taken at any of the wide variety of sports sponsored by it, said the chief executive (Mr J. MacFarlane). Entries need not be photographs which had been published, he said. Five preliminary contests would be held annually, and the winning entry from each of these could be printed in the company magazine, “Brewers,” which is published five times a year. The five prints would each win $3O, and from them the “Lion Sport’s Photograph of the Year” would be selected. There was a $lOO prize for this award, said Mr MacFarlane
