New Zealander Ray Woolf flew to Sydney’ at the week-end to appear on one of America’s most popular afternoon programmes, "Dinah,” along i with fellow New Zealandi ers. Bill and Boyd. The show centres on the 5 personality o? Dinah Shore and features show business personalities as ! guests. “Dinah" screens on ' TV2 five afternoons a week. Woolf, known in New Zealand as a singer and for his role as the Cockney, Merv. in TV2's serial, _"A Going Concern.”
was 'booked to appear on “Dinah" during a trip to the United States a few I weeks ago as part of his ; Entertainer of the Year I award. But he was unable to obtain a working visa because of the number of Californian artists out of work. The way’ was cleared I recently when the produc-
! ers of “Dinah,” C. 8.5., de- ! cided to record a show in I Australia. With visas no I longer a problem, Woolf I was invited to appear. ! It is likely to be several : months before the proI gramme featuring the New j Zealanders is screened in ‘ New Zealand.
