Girl guide leader dead

PA Auckland Mrs Marjorie Pipe, a lifelong member and administrator of the New Zealand Girl Guides Association, died in Auckland recently. At the time of her death, she was the national adviser for the extension branch and brownie guider of the Wilson Home Brownie Pack, a position she had held for 23 years. Mrs Pipe, from Takapuna, was well known for her work with handicapped guides and brownies, particularly with the intellectually handicapped, blind and physically handicapped. She is survived by her mother and two daughters.
