FIRM TREND EVIDENT ON MODERATE MARKET
A firm trend yesterday displaced the weaker tone evident on New Zealand stock exchanges on Tuesday, although frequently traded issuewere still mixed. Carter Holt rose 7c and N.Z. Forest Products Ic. but Dominion Breweries and Fletcher eased again. Special sales included 125,000 N.Z.M.C. and 20.000 Feltex. The N.Z.U.C. index rose 2.19 point-, and trading was moderately active.
