suburban area for the same period were: Smoke: 32*. low Sulphur dioxide: 18, low Nitrogen oxides: 47, low Readings are in micrograms per cubic metre. Levels are: Sulphur dioxide: less than 60, low; more than 200, high. Smoke: less than 40, low; more than 120. high. Nitrogen oxides: less than 100, low; more than 250, high.
