‘Opportunity Knocks'
The second semi-final of “Opportunity Knocks" on TV2 next Thursday begins with Ross Tinney of Hamilton playing his guitar and singing “Who Was It." Nicole and Kerry, two teen-age Auckland girls sing and dance to “Dark Town Strutters Ball"; Keith Torstonson of Morrinsville sings “Pick Me Up On Your Way Down,” to his own guitar accom-
paniment. and Beverley Boyd of Lyttelton sings her own composition. “Just Try a Smile.” Number six is Colin Minifie of Auckland whose speciality is playing a vegetable of some sort, or a pound of butter. This time he plays “Amazing Grace" with carrots and a balloon. Two teen-agers. Jack and Gilbert Watson of Auckland, sing “Til Play
For You." Jack playing the guitar and Gilbert the piano. Contestant eight is 10 year-old Traces Roberts of Christchurch, singing and dancing to "When lin Cleaning Window- and 22-year-old Claire Myers of Wellington finishes the programme oft with the song “Love Will Keep I s Together."
