Solidarity call
PA Invercargill A call for unity within the trade union movement uas made by the secretary of the Federation of Labour (Mr W. J. Knox) at a stop-work meeting in the Civic Theatre, Invercargill. Convened by the action committee of the Southland Trades Council, the meeting was attended by more than 600 people. Members of about 25 unions affiliated to the F.O.L. were present. “Never have we met at a time when there is a greater need for unity in the trade union movement in New Zealand,” said Mr Knox
