Police on computer
Sergeant Terry Moore works the Christchurch terminal of the new police computer network, which is now in partial use for training purposes. The network will link 54 centres throughout the country with the law enforcement information system computer at Wanganui. It will be used by the police. Justice Department, and the Ministry of Transport to send or receive information round the clock. Inspector B. J. Williams, of the Christchurch police, is among senior policemen studying the workings of the system in W'anganui this week.
