S.I. title to Adamson

Wayne Adamson, the top seed after the withdrawal of the former New Zealand champion,: Richard Lee (Auckland), gained; his first open singles title at the South Island (able tennis championships in Invercargill at the week-end. The Canterbury champion made a magnificent recovery in the semi-finals against the MidCanterbury champion. Yee Chow Boi. Adamson dropped the first; two games and was dovn, 3-B,' in the third.
