Business advisory service
PA • Nelson A proposal to establish a small business advisory service was approved by the Associated Chambers of Commerce during its annual conference at Nelson. A small business was deIfined as having up to 50 employees. The conference endorsed a proposal from Mr S. L. Moses (Wellington) for a system of regional small business advisory panels comprising local chambers of commerce and co-ordinated through a national panel. The panels would advise small companies which recognised a need for help in management techniques, budgeting, planning for expansion, and the raising of finance. They would either attempt to solve specific problems or refer proprietors to sources of outside information or help.
