Olympics to rugby
Television One’s track and field commentator Keith Qninn has a reputation for good timing — not the least for his timing of an appendicitis operation the day after the Irish Rugby Test for which he was commentator. It was the only spare moment Keith had before preparations for his role at the Olympics began in earnest. Keith joined ■ the N.Z.B.C. in 1965, and since
1967 he has been involved in sports broadcasts •— particularly his twin interests of rugby and athletics. In 1972 he was a member of the Munich Olympics reporting team and in 1974 he covered the All Blacks tour of Australia. From the Olympics Keith will be going on to South Africa where he will take over commentating from Bill McCarthy. The next few months will be the most hectic of his life.
