Partly clad man caught at window

A man convicted on a charge of looking through a window of a house at night without lawful excuse was released on probation for two years and ordered to take psychiatric or other medical treatment as directed by the probation officer. At the" time of the offence, the man was wearing only women’s underpants, a shirt, and a pair of socks.

Christopher Paul Brading, aged 25, who pleaded guilty to the charge, said at the time of the offence that he had a sexual problem and this was the only way he could get sexual satisfaction. Counsel (Mr L. C. Dann) said that Brading suffered from social maladjustment rather than psychiatric illness. He found it hard to relate to women and the time he had spent in psychiatric hospitals receiving treatment for his problem had probably set him back in his social development. The Magistrate (Mr W. F. Brown, S.M.) told Brading that if he continued to commit this sort of offence he would be admitted to custody of some form or another.
