New flats for elderly
The Red Cross Lodge for; the elderly at Kaiapoi is to j have eight new flats, to be' occupied by March next year. The flats — costing at least $12,000 each — will be built in the grounds of the! present lodge and annex which already house 16 elderly. They will be for people who do not need to live in an institution, but who can-i not manage their own' homes.
