suburban area for the same period were: Smoke: 61, medium. Sulphur dioxide: 57, low. Nitrogen oxides: 87, low. Readings are in micrograms per cubic metre. Levels are: Smoke: less than 40, low; more than 120, high. Sulphur dioxide: Jess than 60, low: more than 200, high. Nitrogen oxides: less than 100. low; more than 250, high.
