All Black films delayed

Because of industrial action by Australian trade unions, TVI will be unable to screen coverage of the All Blacks’ provincial matches as early as planned. Australian unions have placed a ban on all air cargo from South Africa.

To overcome this, the video-tapes of the matches will have to be rerouted to avoid Australia. This will mean that the matches win now be screened seven days after they were played, instead of three.

The mid-week games will screen the following Wednesday on “Sportsnight” at 10 p.m. and the Saturday games will be shown the following Saturday at 5 p.m. as part of “Sport On One’.’

The test matches, which will be telecast Jive via satellite, will not be affected.
