• The Sensational Alex Harvey B and play in Christchurch Town Hall on Tuesday, August 31, during a nine-day stay in New Zealand. They are playing two concerts in Auckland, one in Wellington and one in Christchurch, with days off between. Other dates: Auckland, August 25 and 27, Wellington, August 29. • Willie Dixon is booked for his second New Zealand tour in September. • Connie Francis won her law suit aaginst a motel chain, which was heard in New York last month. She claimed SUS2.S million in damages after being raped in a motel in 1974. The Brooklyn Federal Court
last week awarded her $150,000. • Reggae music has been banned from the Hammersmith Odeon, one of London’s major rock venues, following recent concerts there by' Bob Marley and the Wailers in which there were incidents involving the police. ® Deep Purple’s singer, Glenn Hughes, has reformed his old group, Trapeze. • Bryan Perry is making a solo album and planning tours, perhaps with a new group. Roxy Music in the meantime will not play together for the rest of the year and their future will depend on Ferry’s success as a solo star.
