Flight for school
PA Invercargill Two Southland Aero Club pilots landed at Invercartrii) on Tuesday evening after flv ing 900 nautical miles in a day-long circumnavigation of the South Island. They had 20 minutes of daylight to spare.
Phillip Kean and Craig Little raised between $6OO and $7OO for the Park School for cerebal palsy children from their flight, which began in Invercargill at 757 a.m., and ended at 5.20 r m. Their flight, in a Cessna 206, took them to Pusegar Point, up the West Coast, round the northern tip of the island, and back down the east coast. They made three refuelling stops.
