Beef prices up
Prices to producers for most classes of beef for export have been raised. The increases range from 0.5 c per kg to Sc. The half cent increase applies to the G grade ox and heifer and the 6c to the L2 category of ox and heifer between 160.5 and 220 kg There is no change for the T and E ox and heifer grades and PI, G, T and E cow beef. The new priees. applicable itrom last Monday, are:— Ox and heifer beef.—Pl: 160.5 to 220 kg, Sic per kg for os and 49c for heifers: 220.5 to 270 kg, 57e and 55c; 270.5 to 340 kg, sfc
and 57c; 340.3 kg and over. 60c and 58c. G: 1®.5 to 220 kg, 46c and 44c; 220.5 to 270 kg, 32c and 50c; 270.5 to 346 kg. 54c and 52c; 340.0 kg and over, 55c and 53c. T: all weights ol.Sc and 49.5 c. E; all weights, 44c and 42c. El: 160.5 to 220 kg, 47.5 c and 45.5 c; 220.5 to 270 kg, 51.5 c and 49.5 c; 270.5 to 340 kg, 54.5 c and 52,&c; 340.5 kg and over, 58.5 c and 56.5 c. L2: 160.5 to 220 kg 49c and 47c; 220.5 to 270 kg. 30.5 c and 48.5 e; 270.3 to 340 kg. 53.5 c and 51.5 c; 340.5 kg and over 57.5 c and 55.5 c.
